Frequently Asked Questions

We ship via USPS and UPS. If you need your products by a guaranteed date, or have specific instructions like “leave on porch”, please choose UPS (either 3-day, 2-day, or overnight). Ground delivery times are based on where you are located. USPS 1st Class and USPS Priority Mail estimate delivery within 2-3 days but do not allow for instructions like “leave on porch”.

Please note that UPS Ground, USPS 1st Class, and USPS Priority mail do NOT guarantee a delivery date. Delivery times are only estimates and may take longer then expected. JM Steno has no control over USPS packages once they are picked up by the post office, nor can we stop a delivery already in transit.

USPS currently delivers packages on Saturday at no additional charge. UPS on the other hand charges extra for Saturday delivery, which is not available to all areas. If you place an order for overnight service on a Friday, it will not be delivered until Monday. If you need it by Saturday, you MUST call us at toll-free 877.956.5198 to make special arrangements.

Shipping is automatically added up by weight of the product plus a shipping container. When ordering multiple items, sometimes shipping gets overestimated. If this occurs, we will automatically refund the shipping overpayment to your account on the following business day. Please note that this amount can not be refunded any sooner then the following business day.

Insurance is applied to all orders shipping via UPS. Insurance is applied to all orders greater then $100 shipping via USPS. Insurance is optional for orders of $99 or less shipping via USPS.

Items in clam shells (such as computer supplies) are not returnable due to packaging unless defective. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping is not refundable. All returns must have a return authorization from a JM Steno employee to be processed. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
